Timing is everything.

Make sure your client shows up on time because there’s always that 15 minutes of getting comfortable with camera and during that time, the sun is either rising or setting too much and you’re losing that good light.

Be encouraging.

The only thing harder than taking pictures is being the subject of the pictures. When your client does sometime great, tell them that! Make them feel appreciated and it will only make them feel more confident and it will show in more of your pictures.

Bring booze and music

Today I shot grad pictures with champagne and it was amazing how much my client loosened up after a few sips. If your client is under the legal age bring something else that makes them feel more comfortable like playing music or even having their friend tag along.

A busy week with finals and grad shoots have kept me on my toes and my planner full, but I’ve been absolutely loving the results. The stadium was SUPER busy so it was a bit of a challenge working around everyone but it turned out!

Here’s a few of my favorites from Mariah and Mary’s graduation pics.

Congrats yall!!

xoxo
