Whether you’re an over-packer or you just love to cram and shove your suitcase full, these five packing tips will help make packing last minute for your upcoming trip less stressful and make dealing with your crinkle-prone clothes much easier!

Roll your clothes

Pretty sure this is the OG of OG packing hacks but if you aren’t rolling your clothes in order to save space and reduce wrinkles, I don’t know what you’re doing.


Downside your toiletries

You don’t need your massive eyeshadow palletes for a five day trip. Plus, if your lovely airline just so happens to drop your bag on the conveyor belt, your pallete will get smashed. Just stick to the basics–besides, when you’re on vacation you don’t want to spend  a bunch of time getting ready, you want to get out there and explore!IMG_3795

Bring pieces you can swap out

For me, its easier to bring a bunch of different bottoms and only a few tops. Don’t know why, but it’s just the way it is for me. I always bring pants regardless of the climate I’m traveling to, a lightweight pair of pants, black jeans for dinner, leggings, and athletic shorts.IMG_3776IMG_3783IMG_3787

P.S. Dresses are great for travel not only because they look like you put in more effort into your outfit than you actually did, but they are also only ONE piece. That means more free space in your suitcase!

Don’t forget workout clothes


Pack-then remove

Seriously–chances are, you’re only going to be gone for 5-7 days so don’t bring too much. Often times when I’m packing I get rambunctious and pack two outfits for a day, easily knowing that there’s no way that’s actually going to happen. Lay out everything you THINK you’ll need for your trip, then take out the two least essential items. I PROMISE you that you wouldn’t need them anyways.

    Rolling your clothes is a MUST. It makes so much more space! I am terrible about bringing workout clothes with me, it’s something I’m working on when going on trips!

      It’s hard to get yourself to go to the gym when you’re on vacation, but I feel like just bringing the clothes is enough of a hint to get moving. Thanks for the feedback, Annie!
